LFKZ Zeneakadémia-bérlet 2024/25 5/5 - Fejérvári Zoltán (zongora)

Mussorgsky: Pictures at an Exhibition - arranged for strings and percussion
The creative collaboration between the Franz Liszt Chamber Orchestra and the soloist promises a significant performance, revealing the profound beauty of detail.

Ravel noticed the possibility of the symphonic re-arrangement in Mussorgsky's piano cycle Pictures at an Exhibition, which became a viral symphonic work in his transcription. Now, the Franz Liszt Chamber Orchestra sensed that it could offer new perceptions to the audience at the boundary between solo and symphonic sound: the string orchestra is supplemented with percussionists, giving the well-known musical images a new framework with new ideas.
