Musical spiritual experiences - The third concert in the season’s pass of the Franz Liszt Chamber Orchestra invites us to a musical spiritual journey. Bach’s Violin Concerto in E major is performed with the solo of Eldbjørg Hemsing, while the masterpiece is followed by a wonderful dance compilation from the late 19th century.

The program pays tribute to the most well-known Norwegian composer, Grieg, as well as one of Norway’s increasingly popular musicians, the guest artist of the concert.

The concert continues with Hemsing’s beautiful performance after the break, providing a slightly different shape for the spiritual scout: the violin concerto of the contemporary Latvian composer Pēteris Vasks may be seen as a long movement of hope, some music for the soul. The concert is framed by the string transcript of the Bach Chaconne. The new sound experience pictured in the orchestra’s image film is already popular with the faithful friends of the ensemble, and now the audience of the Academy of Music will have the chance to join the musical soaring.Programme:

Bach: Violin Concerto in E major, BWV 1042
